At United Way of the Greater Dayton Area, we strive to create a community where we do not just survive but thrive.
We tackle tough problems, address immediate needs, and find long- term solutions to some of the most persistent issues facing our community. We do this by investing in people through programs, services and initiatives that make a real difference. This is a
story of the personal and family impact by one such program offered by H.I.T Foundation.

Meet Ron

Ron entered the emergency homeless shelter after previously experiencing homelessness, struggling with addiction, and losing custody of his child. Ron was
connected with a case manager who helped him find employment, receive outside supportive services, and get signed up for a personal wellness class. This was the help Ron needed to help overcome his challenges.

After maintaining employment, Ron was approved for Rapid Rehousing, a program to help individuals and families quickly exit homelessness. Ron continues
to work diligently with multiple programs and is on track to reunite with his son.

YOUR IMPACT

Thank you for your support!

At United Way of the Greater Dayton Area (UWGDA) we pride ourselves
on
making sure that the essential needs of those in our community are met. Some of these needs include food, shelter, medical care and freedom from violence.
We do this by investing in people through synchronized programs, services and initiatives that make a real difference throughout our community. One of these programs being
Vetslink 2-1-1.
Vetslink 2-1-1 is a 24/7-365
lifeline to a free, confidential, and compassionate fellow veteran who will review your situation and connect you with resources to meet you and your families needs.
