‘Hope to Dream’ is a partnership between United Way of the Greater Dayton Area, Morris Home Furniture, and Secret Smiles of Dayton providing beds to children in need. On September 17h, 75 beds were presented to 75 excited children and families at a special event at the University of Dayton’s Frericks Center. Area volunteers worked together to set up all 75 beds the day of the event, complete with pillows and comforters. United Way provided additional sheets set, pajamas, books, and teddy bears as well as a bookmark resource for families to access Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Volunteer drivers from many different organizations and unions helped disassemble the beds and drive them to the families’ homes after the event. ‘Hope to Dream’ is a great collaboration of people that care about our community and are working to make a big difference in the lives of others.
