Toys from the Heart is a holiday assistance program, made possible by the generous support of participating sponsors.

Each year, United Way of the Greater Dayton Area (UWGDA) matches community sponsors with families seeking holiday help. We know families who normally do not need assistance during the Holidays will experience the heartbreak of knowing there is no money for presents.

This year we anticipate up to a 100% increase in the number of request for families in need.

With the current pandemic, UWGDA is committed to the safety of our volunteers and community. With this priority, Christmas 2021 plans include social distancing protocols to purchase and distribute gifts. Instead of companies donating gifts, their employees purchase, for the list of child registrants, we will request monetary donations to support the gift purchases and logistics.
