During Global Youth Service Month, Volunteer Connection took part in multiple garden plantings at schools and agencies (Boys and Girls Club, for instance). It will be fun to see all these plants bloom!  Over the years, we have placed and matched volunteers with agency opportunities and will continue to do so – but we are adding a component of volunteering with United Way of the Greater Dayton Area (UWGDA) events and projects. This includes taking part in our special events as well as having UWGDA groups of volunteers out having great experiences specific to UWGDA missions and in partnership with our agencies.  Are you a donor who wishes to be more hands-on?  Would you like to gather friends and volunteer under the UWGDA banner?  Contact me at [email protected].  As we gear up for events such as this October’s Tour de Gem, we will be looking to recruit folks to take part in the implementation of the day and the lead-up!  Please feel free to reach out to Nick with questions or for ideas about volunteering in the area!
