UWGDA would like to thank all the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who helped make these programs possible. Also, a BIG thanks to White Allen Chevrolet! Because of our collective work to UNITE, and because of donors like you, we are all able to make the holiday season more magical for children in our area.
Toys from the Heart – Greene County
Each year in Greene County, United Way of the Greater Dayton Area (UWGDA) matches community sponsors with families seeking holiday help. This year we encountered a significant increase in requests for families in need. Greene County will assist around 350 individual children during the Christmas holiday, and we continue to seek donors and sponsors to serve closer to 440 children in the future. The program would not be possible without the generous sponsorships from AFRL, JC Penney, Kettering Health Network, Leidos, Park National Bank, SierTek, Unison, and individual donors. Additionally, grant support was provided from Greene County Development Department and Wright-Patt Credit Union.
Preble County Christmas for Kids – Preble County
United Way of the Greater Dayton Area has been helping to coordinate Preble County Christmas for Kids program since 2017, and the program itself has been helping children, age zero through 18, for over 12 years. This year, thanks to the generosity of many, the program was able to make the holidays brighter for 676 children. Donors “adopt” a child and help fulfill the children’s wish lists based on their likes, interests, and clothing sizes.
Montgomery County
White Allen Chevrolet will be providing gifts to 27 children from 10 families in the Dayton area. UWGDA was fortunate to help connect White Allen with the Family Stability Program to identify those most in need. Thank you for your generosity, White Allen Chevrolet!
